365c 116, A Cross a Day. A cross indicating emergency care here

Today's cross is a sticker, but on a door into the hospital.  i have really been thinking about the idea of cross as a symbol and symbol to for medical help-Red Cross or a tattoo on a biker.  What do we mean when where crosses?  What is our purpose of having one on our walls or around our necks?
