365c 27 A Cross a Day

Today's cross is a simple color pencil of the Cross of Lorraine.  The name comes from the a battle in the first Crusade (1095-1204) when Jerusalem was captured;  victory was dedicated ti the Duke of Lorraine.  This cross became a symbol of the Holy League, a faction of Roman Catholic extremists who wanted to crush the Protestants (Huguenots) in the French religious wars in 16th century.  The Cross of Lorraine was used in WWII as a symbol o French resistance to the movement against the Nazis.*

May you cross a creative inkling today.
