Today's letter goes to the Bolton Vet Clinic in Albuquerque. While they are the place i use as my vet, they also are where i board the kitties. Yesterday, i was dropping the kitties off and had the kitties in crates in hand and was trying to shut my truck door and hit with right hip and tore a 10cm laceration in my right leg in the calf, pictured below. They cleaned it up and wrapped so i could get to my flight and then a doctor for stitches.
This is the back of the leg while i lay on my stomach, after cleaning and stitches prior to putting a bandage on. The shot is upside down the top is my heel and then it goes into the calf.
i got on the plane and went to the ER. Hours later, 34 stitches, and of course more blood, i left to get the antibiotics and pain meds. i also got a tetnus shot. ER was busy, but glad to get it done and cleaned out. Hopefully no issues and in will stop bleeding in next 24 hours-i pray.
