The reach of hate.
Book: The Plot Against America by P. Roth
Roth writes a historical fiction 'like' novel, that creates a picture of underlying issues in the Roosevelt, Lindbergh, and Hitler era. The war on Jews in America was exposed in this novel; the story told us of an American hero, Lindbergh, truths that are surprising to one not alive at the time and had not heard the information. The Plot Against America is rooted in truth and the possibilities, if just a few differences in time and results had occurred.
If you have an interest in the Nazi impact, read this book. If you want to learn some insight to the challenges of the Jewish people in America while all was going on in Europe, read this book. While the book is fiction, the story tells what i am sure were concerns and fears for various groups of people in America. This insight shines avenues to explore in the stories of this time span.
This book is recommended.
