5. i am amazed at the creative network that people use to soothe and journey through the rough times in our lives.
4. i first came across the idea of graphic books with the wonderful books called Maus I and Maus II. The book pictured is by the same artist/writer.
3. The title of this work is intriguing and really can be mind mapped with 100's of points and ideas creating a whole life of work for someone working on their dissertation. It is intriguing to see how people respond and how the institutions in their lives process through the challenges and disasters in the world. 9/11 has given us a lesson in what we should know and do when there is a crisis; has your church learned the lesson? For example, does your church have a list of employment of its members so upon say an industrial accident they can follow-up and check on its members and their families?
2. i keep hearing the song Superman by Five for Fighting in my head when i read this book. i associate the Superman song with 9/11 because it is the song that played in the documentary and presentation i attended early in 2001 after 9/11 with a clergy person who worked on Ground Zero for months.
1. Cartoons are more then the colored pages of the Sunday paper.
